In 1967 Mel Oakes founded his domestic construction company, starting small the business quickly established a reputation for fine craftsmanship.
Joinery played an important part of M. S. Oakes Ltd’s construction business, so much so that in 1988 M. S. Oakes Joinery Ltd. was formed.
Making high quality, purpose made hardwood and softwood joinery, manufactured to their customer’s specifications, the company saw a steady growth in both its business and reputation.
In 1999, due to their impressive growth, the need for better equipped premises and to comply with even more stringent Health & Safety Welfare criteria, the company relocated from Waveney Crescent in Lowestoft, to larger and more modern premises at Mobbs Way, Lowestoft.
Today, M. S. Oakes Joinery’s reputation and business, continues to grow impressively. A strong, skilled workforce with dedicated and forward thinking Management, ensure the continuation of the high standards they have set themselves.
